HOW YOU CAN HELP

The fund raising committee for the Gateway Regional Center for the Arts values every donation and has included multiple levels and types of giving in this effort. In this way the entire community may be involved in securing this landmark building to be the Arts focus for the region. Resources will be solicited from individuals and corporations, clubs and communities throughout the region. The following are recommended levels of giving:

Major Memorials

$20,000.00

This category would pay noteworthy respect to certain individuals & families, living and deceased. A permanent plaque will be placed within the Center, with separate plates honoring the specific persons in this category. An example may be children wanting to permanently remember their parents who lived, worked and/or died in the community. Another example may be for persons who were closely connected with this exquisite Methodist Church building itself and want to give in thanks for the permanent restoration of the building. These Memorials will receive lifetime membership in the MCCA, and will be Special Guests at a Black Tie Party following fund-raising efforts.

Corporate/Business Support

In the past few years Arts organizations have begun to rely heavily on corporate support to achieve their goals. As federal funding has withered, corporations and businesses of all sizes have assumed major responsibility for support of the arts within their communities. The fund raising committee will work with individual corporations and businesses to place generous pledges into 3-10 year annual support packages.

Sponsors

Sponsors who contribute $1,000.00 or more will be listed on a permanent support plaque within the facility, will receive a complimentary five year membership to the MCCA, and will be invited to the Black Tie Party following the fund-raising effort. This level adapts itself well to civic organizations and private individuals.

Remembrances

$250.00+

Remembrances will be mentioned on a permanent plaque within the building. Remembrances may honor weddings, special anniversaries, friendships, deaths, births, etc.

Endowment

Any fund raising effort for the Center for the Arts would be incomplete without providing funds for the ongoing maintenance and operation of the facility. The ultimate goal is to guarantee that this facility thrives for generations to come. Therefore "The Gateway Arts Endowment" will be established for those who would prefer to give specifically to an endowment fund. Surplus funds remaining from the construction phase will go into the endowment automatically. Endowments can fit appropriately into all of the funding levels listed above and may be given through "Planned Gifting", stocks, or donations designated for this purpose. The goal for the Endowment fund is $500,000.00 to be pledged by April, 2006.

Major Levels of Giving

$500,000.00

The honor of naming the Center will be given to this key benefactor. His or her name will be associated permanently with the Arts Center on all signage and information for this facility and will be inscribed in a new corner stone for the building. An oil portrait in their honor will be permanently placed in a prominent position inside the facility. He or she will be given a lifetime membership in the MCCA and will be represented appropriately on a permanent plaque with other significant donors. This sponsor will be the Guest of Honor at a Black Tie Party following the fund-raising effort. A considerable Historic Tax Credit may be available to this sponsor.

$250,000.00

Two major benefactors at this giving level are needed. Sponsors will have the honor of naming the Performance Hall or the Art Gallery . Their names will be permanently imbedded in the main entrance to the Performance Hall or the Gallery and they will be given a lifetime membership in the MCCA. These sponsors will be represented appropriately on a permanent plaque with all other significant donors and will be major Guests of Honor at a Black Tie Party following the fund-raising effort.

$50,000.00

Three patrons at this giving level are needed and will have the honor of naming the Library/Conference Room, the Rehearsal Hall and the Visual Arts Studio. Sponsors' names will be placed prominently in each of the Centers. They will be given lifetime memberships in the MCCA, and will be represented appropriately on a permanent plaque with all other significant donors. These sponsors will be special Guests of Honor at a Black Tie Party following the fund-raising effort.

$20,000.00

Patrons at this level of giving will have their names prominently placed in the Center. They will be given lifetime memberships in the MCCA and will be represented appropriately on a permanent plaque with other significant donors and will be Guests at the Black Tie Party following the fund-raising effort.
